What information should I initially provide you?
It will depend on your project type and requirements, but we will send a form for you to fill out. We need a description of your project including what visual and written content you require, links, key-words, any deadlines, and contact details. If it is for a business, we require as much information about your business, including the style of website or content you desire.

What services can you provide?
How do you price your services?
We generally charge by the hour.
It will depend on the nature, size, and complexity of your project, but we can discuss this all beforehand. Once we have all the information we need on your project, we will give you an itemised costing list with a quote. We then require a 20% deposit, which once we receive we’ll get to work.

How do I pay?
We accept credit/debit cards, Paypal, or direct bank transfer. You will receive payment instructions on your invoice.
Why do you advertise in Australian dollars (AUD)?
We operate worldwide, and have international clients, however we are based in Australia. Your invoice will match your country’s currency using the exchange rate (xe.com) of the day.
Can I get a refund if I cancel a contract?
Once a deposit is paid, we have entered into a legally-binding contract. We have an obligation to provide the service you are paying for, and you have an obligation as a customer to understand the terms. However, we are kind creatures, and understand circumstances may change, but please let us know as soon as possible.
– If you cancel before any work has been undertaken you will receive a full refund.
– If you cancel your project mid-way, you will be charged for billable hours worked. We will provide a final itemised invoice, and your unfinished project, in case you wish you continue it in the future.
What if I am not satisfied with the final product?
As part of our standard procedure we will give you progress reports, which give you multiple opportunities to ask for revisions or changes, right up until the final edit. If you then decide to change the design or content, that’s fine with us, but you will be charged for the extra hours of work. This will be reflected on the final invoice. As for refunds, refer to the previous answer.
When will I see a progress report?
Depending on the size and complexity of the project, we will send you a report after approximately every 20% of progress.
For larger projects, such as complete websites, these can be more often, and you will be involved in every step along the way.
For smaller projects, such as a logo design or short piece of web copy, we will send you the first draft for review, rather than progress reports.
I have changed my mind about a design idea, will this cost more?
Contact us as soon as you can. If the design changes require significant additional work, then yes you will be charged for the extra hours. If the design change is minimal, or a minor revision of a written piece, then we won’t charge extra.
Email or the contact form is the best way to reach us. We will provide you with multiple ways to contact us once we’ve begun communications.
Do you design websites from scratch?
We create all written and visual content from scratch, using your chosen style and concept. We can use photos you already have or source them for you. To save time and simplify the process, which in turn saves you money, we then use a website builder such as WordPress (or another of your choosing).
Why should I hire you rather than use a website builder myself?
If you’re experienced in using any of these website builders, you’ll understand it can take a lot of time to create the content, make it user-friendly, and optimal for search engines. This can cost businesses of all sizes a lot of woman/man-power and hours.

Does sourcing photos cost extra?
We have a professional account with canva.com, which comes with access to millions of free photos. There are also premium photos, whose rights need to be purchased for commercial use and can range anywhere from $1 to $100.
Do you offer expedited services?
We can offer expedited services at $50/hr, additional to the base rate. Yes, this means we will be burning the midnight oil for you, but certainly not at the expense of quality!
Can you do market research?
We sure can! We often do market research as part of the process – to understand a business prior to designing their website, for example. We can also do extensive market research for you to help with a marketing strategy if need be.
How long will you take to finish my project?
It depends on the nature, size, and complexity of your project. For example, a complete website for a large business will require many hours of creating written and visual content. Projects of this magnitude can take up to 2-3 months. Small websites, such as simple blog-setups can often take us only a day or two. Ultimately it all comes down to the content requirements.
For writing services, it will depend on our expertise on a topic. Creative writing, such as ghost-writing books or blog articles and web copy, we write at around 500 words per hour. Anything that requires significant research or critical thought will be approximately 500 word per 3-4 hours. We take into consideration the research element – see our rates sheet for more details.
